A 48 Track Booth To Go!!

TNDV In ActionThe main goal of our mobile audio truck is to provide a 48 track booth on wheels to serve as a stand-alone mix booth, or be paired with the HD and SD video capabilities of the truck for a complete show.

We are proud to feature a Yamaha DM2000 mixing console, and the brand new (and quite impressive) Tascam X-48 multi-track recorded. Our mic-pre's are the much requested Focusrite OctoPre, and the booth itself is a pleasure to work it. For more info on all these great tools, scroll down!

Do you need to capture a multi-channel event for post? Do you need to mix a live television show for broadcast? Do you need to perform audio post-production onsite? Let us bring the audio booth to you! Contact info below:

The Mixer! Yamaha DM2000

DVD ShootWe are so proud to feature the only mobile audio facility in the Nashville area to feature the DM2000! Here is some info from Yamaha:

Combining a leading-edge design philosophy with the latest in digital technology, the DM2000VCM is the world's first sound / music production digital console to receive approval under the globally-recognized THX pm3 surround standard. Multi-channel digital broadcast, Internet delivery of television and music, the integration of next-generation "Blu-Ray Disc" media — with each passing year the market demand for surround-sound media reaches new heights, requiring ever more quality and speed from broadcast and production facilities.

Everything we know about digital audio has been put into developing the DM2000VCM. It combines a myriad of surround mixing and monitoring functions together with a maximum of 96 inputs and 22 mixing buses, transparent sound quality thanks to a superb head amp, 24-bit AD/DA, and 96 kHz sampling, as well as superior integration with DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) packages such as NUENDO. This result is a console that is able to handle the demands of today's production and broadcast environments with ease.

The DM2000VCM also brings to the table VCM plug-ins like EQ, compressors, tape saturation, and guitar effectors now standard on Yamaha's digital consoles, along with the outstanding REV-X reverb algorithm newly introduced in the SPX2000. Add to this the smooth, realistic sound of iSSP surround field technology, and you have a console that provides simply breathtaking performance.

Put simply, our flagship DM2000VCM production console takes sound production to new heights, and TNDV puts it on WHEELS!!

The Recorder! Tascam X-48

DVDWe are loving this new toy. We have been fans of the Alesis HD24 for years, but now we have upgraded to the X-48. Here is some info from Tascam:

TASCAM's new X-48 is the world's first standalone 48-track Hybrid Hard Disk Workstation. Co-Developed with SaneWave, it integrates the best of both worlds: the stability and ease-of-use of a purpose-built hard disk recorder, with the GUI, editing and mixing features of a computer-based digital audio workstation.

It boasts up to 96kHz/24-bit recording across all 48 tracks. Its file compatibility and synchronization surpass even the TEC Award-winning MX-2424, with native Broadcast WAVE audio file support and AAF export for compatibility with workstations like Pro Tools®, Nuendo and Logic. Support for FireWire hard drives and Gigabit Ethernet allows simple transfer between systems, making it the ultimate multi track solution for high-quality music, post and live recording applications.

Yet the X-48 goes beyond mere standalone recorders -- its built-in, automated 48-channel digital mixer, VGA display output, powerful editing functions and DVD+RW backup drive transform it into a complete integrated workstation.

The Processing: Focusrite Octopre

DVD AuthoringThese are the best. We use em and love em. Here are the key features:

- Eight award-winning Class A discrete transistor-based Focusrite pre-amps!
This pre-amp demonstrates the same wide bandwidth philosophy featured in the original vintage Focusrite units, ensuring low noise and distortion.

- Eight independent Focusrite Compressors/Limiters!
Revolutionary circuit design allows dynamics to be handled via a single control.

- Up to 16 digital outputs (24bit, 96kHz)
Two high quality 8-Channel A/D converters are available. Both converters are 24 bit and 128 x over-sampled, handling sample rates of up to 96kHz, but can dither down to 20 or 16 bit.

- Two ‘Super Channels’
No separate D.I. is required, with TRS Jack inputs and phase reverse on the front fascia.
